First of all I do apologize for the setting of this picture. I know that my balcony does not exactly scream evening, nor skincare. I wish i had put in in at least a Diptique candle or a bunch of tulips.. shady.
By the way, since last time i did a post on my Skincare routine, things have changed a bit.

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

This quote and the fact that my lovely friend Melly -that has an amazing youtube channel you should totally check out here - tagged me, are the reasons why i've decided to jump on board and do this Tag.

Recently my skin has been going trough a very dry phase.
Coincidently, i run out of moisturiser. You know what that means? I do. Skincare research, and -even better, skincare shopping. To find out what i Got in my last shopping trip you can click here to take a look at my spring beauty haul. Cause i know you're nosy like that. Back to moisturisers. I popped into my local pharmacy -one of my favourite places to spend hours of free time, and consequently lots of money- looking for a very deep care hydrating cream. I was very soon carried away by all the French Pharmacy, when i spotted with the corner of my eye the Bioderma shelf. Ah the feels. Between all the different products, i then picked up this gem: the BIODERMA Hydrabio Légère light cream for dehydrated sensitive skin. What a name Ladies, and what a product.
This cream has a very silky consistency, definitely it looks more like a serum than an actual moisturiser, and it's waterbased. This means is very fluid and lightweight, and that it absorbs into the skin in litterally seconds, And for seconds i mean..3 seconds. The first time i used it my skin was so happy that i had to apply it twice, cause the first time it had totally disappeared, without leaving any traces whatsoever. But what i love the most about this product is that it's a brilliant Make up Base. You don't need a primer after using this moisturiser. After prepping your skin with this product, your foundation sticks so nicely that it looks like proper skin. I tell you, it's magic! I've been using this for two weeks now, and  my skin feels very compact, soft and glowy. This product is also hypoallergenic and non comedogenic, so absolutely perfect for sensitive skin types.

In my defense, I just wanted to point out that i needed this stuff. Well at least some of it.
I just joined my mum into my local shopping center and this happened. Also, if you've been captivated by the word Spring in the title, I will suggest you to skip to the skincare section, as the make I bought is not quite spring-ish. Oh and if you're wandering what flavour is the candle i added in my jazzy photo arrangement, i'm pretty sure it's the White Gardenia amazingness I featured in my Last Candle Haul .
MAKE UP: Make up wise i just visited one shop, and oh la la, what a surprise, is KIKO again. First of all, I spoiled myself with a new brush. Now, I already have two angled brushes. BUT. The first I use to put on gel liner, the second to smudge eyeshadows.. I needed one for my new addiction: eyebrows. This one is number 204 from KIKO. I've tried it the other day, and have to say is pretty amazing. I then bought two eyeshadows, number 122 and 175. Click here to see a picture I shot in daylight, so that you can see the exact colors. They are both satin to matte finish, and two amazing shades of warm toned gray. I've already used them to create a red carpet-glamorous smokey eye, with a hint of brown in the crease and they look gorgeous. Lastly i got this Rougj extra volume mascara, from my favourite skincare pharmacy. It is actually very good, parabene free and all that jazz, but surprise surprise, they were launching it, and selling it for a quarter of the price. A true bargain, i'd say.
SKINCARE: Now, if you guys follow my blog, or my twitter, or worse, are my friends in real life, you certainly know about my obsession for skincare. It all started last year with a certain Anna lady on youtube, and now, I've arrived to a point where every single euro I have ends up spent in moisturisers&co. Especially now, that I found the most amazing pharmacy that sells ALL THE THINGS, from Nuxe to Bioderma.. excuse the caps lock action there, but the excitement is real. So, i was desperately in need for a new moisturiser, as my skin recently has been going trough a very dry phase, I am considering changing my whole skincare routine, but for now, I started from the moisturiser: I was lost in the shop looking for the best hyper hydrating miracle for super dry skin as i bumped into the Bioderma Moisturising Cream for Dehydrate and Sensitive skin. Now. I've started using it and it is as amazing as it sounds.  I'll definitely talk about it soon, so watch this space if you're interested! And to pick up my skin even more i also got this La Roche Posay Soothing and Rehydrating mask. Sounds really good, haven't used it yet. Don't worry, when I do, you'll be the first to know ;)

Four eyed gals, time for revenge has arrived.
If you, like me, have known the highs and lows of wearing glasses since your early teen age years, you certainly know what i'm talking about. Girls with glasses have always been considered goofy, nerdy and also a bit lame by the boys department. I know, i can hear all of you cringing from here, but Ladies, the time to take back our dignity has arrived.  You CAN be cute and feminine with glasses. The only trick is to know where and how put things on yo face. So this is my personal&opinionated guide for make up tips for gals who wear glasses. At least this is what works for me, and it's the result i achieved after a very long -and very wrong- experimentation path.. Enjoy!
THE BASE: Matte. As you can tell by the pictures i snapped for this post, things when wearing glasses can get very shiny very quickly. So if you're not the proud owner of an opaque pair of glasses -in that case i salute you my queen, you don't wanna put any more shimmer on your face, ending up looking like a discoball. So, pick a Matte foundation, with a very even finish, and paire it with a matte bwonzing powder, and a matte blush. You can add highlighter if you're addicted to glowiness, but i prefer my canvas to be very simple and extreamely opaque.
THE EYEBROWS: Defined. When wearing glasses (especially if you have a mahusive paire like mine) you end up having two frames around your eyes: your glasses AND your eyebrows. Now i find that eyebrows are quite the subject these days, so i will just tell you my personal taste. I have very full eyebrows, and i always wore them like that. I don't do much to mine at all, but i find that when wearing a strong pair of glasses, they need a bit more of definition, just to make the final effect look more tidy and put toghether.
THE EYES: Intense. Now, when it comes to eye make up, the first thing you need to check is if your lenses make your eyes look smaller or bigger (this depends on your vision problem.). My lenses make my eyes look terribly smaller so my goal is to make them look bigger. As black makes everything smaller, i won't put eyeliner in the waterline, nor i will line the whole upper and lower lash line. I will also avoid dark or shimmer eyeshadow (it reflects on the lens and looks awful. please girls.). Actually, i'd avoid eyeshadow at all -apart from a matte nude color to make my lid look more even and bright. One thing i love is to intensify the eye, by applying a thin layer of black eye pencil\kohl between the lashes. That's the trick: don't line your lashes, it will make your eyes look smaller. Line between them. *WINK*

* WINK *

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the cuteness of this candle selection.
If you have been following my blog for a while now, you already know about my candle-disease. If you are new though -in that case, thanks for jumping on board!- you need to know that i am compleately obsessed with Yankee Candles. I kinda love every single scent they offer in their endless selection, and i always end up buying loads of small ones in different scents, rather then picking up just one massive jar. I am that indecisive.
This time i've been carried away by all the spring things, and bought a few.
However i'm not gonna go trough every single one, cause some of them are a repurchase, because they were that good. I'm talking about Lemon Lavender, Seasons of peace ( which is a christmas scent, i know but it smells unbelievable, i had to grab another one!) and Turquoise Sky. If you wanna read more about those please click here to read my blogpost about them.
Now, let's talk trough the two gems i just discovered.
The first, White Gardenia ,is in a separate picture because i bought it and HAD to use it straight away, so i quickly snapped a picture, before burning the crap out of it. Sorry for the violent language, but this is one of the best smelling candles i ever bought. It also reminds me of a very special holiday in Positano.. but that's another story. This basically smells like white gardenias in full flower in the garden. It actually smells just like flowers.
It's very refreshing, natural and stunningly simple as that. It's the case to say.. bloomin' love it. The other one i bought, Garden Sweet Pea, must be a very popular one, as i checked on the Yankee Candle site and it's sold out in every single form or shape. The color of the candle itself is so cute and springy, and the tag is so colorful that it's impossible to resist. This cute one smells like delicate blooms accented with hints of pear, peach, freesia and rosewood. Sounds Good.
